Meet Liz
Meet Liz Kaigler, The Animal Enrichment Specialist. Born and raised in Boston, MA, since Liz was able to comprehend what a dog and cat were she was head over heels in love, fascinated by their behavior, and took every opportunity available to learn about them. Instead of becoming enamored with science experiments like homemade solar systems and volcanoes in grade school, Liz focused on studying how local feral cats could become domesticated. During her undergraduate studies at Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, Liz was the “go-to” on-campus expert on how to care for puppies and kittens.
Liz received her Masters degree in Animals and Public Policy from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Since then, she’s continued to work with animals as a veterinary technician throughout Massachusetts, as well as working on housing discrimination cases with the Federal government.
It was Liz’s work with the Federal government that inspired her to train her own pooches as therapy dogs and to eventually get a certification in Canine Behavior and Training from Mount Ida College outside of Boston.
Liz currently resides in Southern Florida, with her two dogs, Sami and Jigsy, and her two cats, Bella and Avery.
